You’ve probably heard that everyone is on there now, and guess what? Everyone is on there and now people are even trying to hooking up on there.
What’s Up With LinkedIn & Dating?
Just the other day I was having lunch with one of my girlfriends and she was telling me that she went on what was supposed to be a networking lunch and it ended up being a date. I stopped mid-bite and said “Oh shit.”
That’s happened to me too!
So, I got to work and did a quick Google search. It turns out it’s just the old bait and switch with a new twist.
It comes off as creepy and nobody is on their LinkedIn page looking for their next potential mate so when Joe Blow comes along trying to ask you out on a date it’s not welcomed or well received.
The Bottom Line
If you have to trick a woman into going out on a date with you by pretending to have a business offer or under the guise of networking it’s probably not going to work out. Actually, as a general rule of thumb if you have to trick or lie to a woman that’s not a long term plan or dating strategy.
Keep it professional and don’t waste anyone’s time.
